I don't load the truck with a lot of weight or tow, so it works for me. My truck is only like 5,000 lbs and even with be a safety factor of 80%, it's more than enough to support my truck. All things considered, the 105S rating on this tire, which is rated for 2,000+ lbs, will work for me. I did want a load range C or XL load tire but settled on this tire. It was hard to come by this size in mid-central FL. I found a used rim from a 1995 F-150, so that'd work well. I originally looked for a used rim and tire and was only able to find one of them. The rim was suspect, too as the lug nut holes were rusted, and I had concerns about the holes being hogged out. I only knew it happened because of the noise the hanger made when I hit bumps. Like, literally in half across it's face. Eventually, due to age, heat, fuel leaks and/or vapors, it decided to split. I bought the truck used in 1995, and the Goodyear Wrangler spare was in place since then. In my case, it's under the rear tank held in place on a hanger and J-Screw bolt.
